I didn’t use to be a fan of these 2 as a couple… (long before their major dividing incident), but that changed after listening to her Rated R album. Hearing her be so open and vulnerable in her music about her feelings and her relationship, was so honest. I respect it. The songs he made immediately after the split were just as brave and honest. Two public figures with their hearts on display, I grew to appreciate the pair. They clearly love each other and this captured moment speaks volumes. I like the body language and I love this pic, I feel their chemistry.

I also think I’m gonna start posting the “random shit my friend says”, it’s so inappropriate but amusing at the same time. Its strange because my friend and I are total opposites but I love her to death! For my friend, relationships aren’t a big deal, cheating is a hobby, and if you make enough, you can be a priority lol. So not how I operate, but it works for her, and I must admit, being friends with her has toughened me up a bit, thick skin is a necessity. I tell her she is such a guy sometimes, seeing her natural instincts opens my eyes to another end of the dating spectrum. Being by her side over the years has been great for preparation and awareness. So big thanks to that lovely lady and keep an eye out for “random shit my friend says.”
Random Rambling…
So yesterday it really hit me, I think I need to catch up with the times. For the longest I’ve believed in monogamous relationships. I look forward to marriage and having that ONE mate to grow old with, but now I’m starting feel like I’ve been stuck embracing this fairytale…the biggest fib of all. So many scientific articles stating that humans aren’t meant to be monogamous…BUMMER! And the origins of marriage weren’t ever anything romantic or done for love, it was more a matter of money, power, survival, and property rights. When along the way did this become something sentimental?! For me, these 2 preconceived notions need to become a thing of the past like pagers. Like with technology, we must adapt and stay with current times because the old systems become obsolete, so I gotta get on the ball. I’m kinda mad I’ve glorified marriage and focused on commitment soo much, I feel I need to somehow undo a way of thinking/ behaving thats been instilled since I started liking boys… and that started early lol. I really hate the idea of dating someone, getting serious, and having to accept that your person of interest is seeing multiple people, but thats where we are today. Dwelling on it crushes me. SIGH!… be kind to me 2012, AMUSE ME… surprise me with a man who believes and PRACTICES being faithful.
